Listen & Understand
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. - James 1:19
A healthy Christian relationship grows when both spouses make space to listen with patience and seek understanding with grace. Scripture reminds us in James 1:19 to be “quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,” a posture that helps couples hear each other more fully and respond with love rather than assumption. When husbands and wives choose to listen well, they create room for empathy, peace, and deeper unity in Christ. This kind of understanding reflects the heart of God, who listens to His children and calls us to treat one another with honor and care.
